Ping Monitor (Professional)
Ping Monitor (Professional) The Ping Monitor program allows the user to build a list of TCP/IP devices (computers, printers, and other network components) to verify their network connections. The program periodically pings each device to determine its network connectivity. After issuing a ping request, the program waits for a reply, then displays the RTT (Round-Trip Time) delay in milliseconds. This allows the user to determine the relative latency of the TCP connection to other devices. If the program receives a failed ping request then different alarm and alert messages can be sent. The Ping Monitor program can trigger different alarms and send several alert messages when a ping request fails. The program can send an e-mail message, run a third- party utility (such as ISPSwitch), play a WAV sound file, or send an alphanumeric message to a pager, mobile phone, PDA, or any wireless device that supports TAP (Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol) messaging. Also, the program can perform a full trace route and who is domain name search to assist in identifying which network node is causing the bottleneck. The program can periodically send the status to another computer on the network running the Remote Ping Monitor program (an add-on utility sold separately), or to any web browser. Also, Ping Monitor has a built-in web server, which allows the user to view Ping Monitor results from anywhere with an Internet connection and a web browser. The program dynamically creates five web pages, which display the status, list of failures, ping statistics, real-time graph, and bandwidth graph. Ping Monitor supports multiple Remote Ping Monitor and web browser connections. ..
