Star Saber It is the year 3759. Humanity has terraformed Mars,and is spreading into nearby solar systems. You area galactic cargo pilot on a mission to ship water from the dew farms on Mars to the newly formed colony world of Irrakin, a dry world in a system far on the edge of explored space.Your mission goes awry when you find that an unknownaggressor has devastated the new colony, leaving eerie skeletal remains of the once radiant colony,and several broken hulls from downed alien spacecraft(apparently, the colony did not go down without a fight!) You leave your cargo ship in a small runabout, seeking survivors of the attack. As you explore the remains of the colony, a mysteriously dark ship (that seems to fade in and out of reality) destroys your cargo vessel. In exile on the planet for six months (surviving off of the remaining colonial supplies), your rescue eventually comes in the form of an exploratory research vessel.Having gained some insight into the alien technologythrough the study of the broken alien hulls during your exile, you aid the scientists in the creation ofweapons that could be of use against the new alien threat. Being only a research vessel, the scientists suggest that you are the best pilot available for thedangerous mission ahead. As the scientists refit yoursleek runabout with advanced technologies, you wonderwhat fantastic fate awaits you.For you, star pilot, are the last hope for humanity.
